Churchmead is a mixed 11-18 Church of England School welcoming students of all faiths.

As a comparatively small Church of England Secondary School we can rightly claim that every student is known as an individual. We are a family with family values.

We are a diverse and supportive community where the focus is on the progress of every individual student regardless of their starting point. We ensure that every student has the best opportunities to learn and succeed and we are committed to achieving the highest academic standards to ensure that all our students have the necessary skills to compete in the 21st century.  Consequently, we provide a carefully structured, balanced and accelerated personalised curriculum for all.

Our aim is “Achievement through Partnership”

Our aim is to develop the whole person.  Each student’s personal and social development is based on Christian values i.e. mutual respect, where all are valued and this is extremely important to us.  Our vertical House pastoral system supports this idea; each student has a tutor who has direct responsibility for their individual academic guidance.  Churchmead encourages close cooperation and liaison with home, community and school.

Our goal is to ensure our students have a love for learning and a realisation that learning is for life. “Every Learner Matters” at Churchmead as we create citizens of the future.
