We'd like to congratulate former Head Boy Gurjot Matheroo on their Bravery Award received from the Thames Valley Police Federation for apprehending a knifeman in a school and protecting the students with a positive outcome.
"PC Gurjot Matheroo was part of a team who tackled a knifeman in a school while students hid under their desks.
He was one of the winners of our Thames Valley Police Federation Bravery Awards this year.
We were delighted to recognised his courage and commend him for his effort and commitment.
Thames Valley Police Federation Chair Aileen O'Connor said the officers "acted quickly and professionally in a very volatile situation".
"Thankfully we don't hear of incidents such as these very often in our country but we all know how catastrophic they can be," she said.
"This incredible team of officers made split-second decisions that succeeded in containing the threat and protecting pupils and staff."
