At Churchmead we believe that every student has, at all times and in all situations, a right to feel safe and protected. It is our core value to operate in the best interest of every young person who attends our school.

Our focus is to always take action when needed to ensure the best outcome for our students, for them to feel safe and secure. Safeguarding is at the forefront throughout our school and staff remain aware and vigilant at all times.

We have a safeguarding policy and appropriate procedures in place which are clearly communicated to all on our school site. Our staff are trained annually in relation to safeguarding and other issues that may be important linking to our surrounding areas.

We have a culture of openness within our school and students are encourage to share any concerns or worries they have to their trusted adult, whom they know will listen to them.
