Our students recently took part in the Learning to Work Heathrow STEM Challenge, where they worked collaboratively in teams of four to design and build a movable car capable of navigating a map of Heathrow Airport. Students applied a range of STEM skills, including problem-solving, creativity, engineering design, teamwork and communication.
Individually, students demonstrated resilience, critical thinking, adaptability and leadership as they contributed ideas, tested solutions and refined their designs. The event provided an excellent opportunity to develop employability skills while gaining an insight into the diverse careers and operations at one of the world's busiest airports. We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm and determination shown by all participants. The winning teams will soon receive a Golden Ticket, granting them an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of Heathrow Airport in the near future. Congratulations to everyone involved!
